[p.160]  1902 Janry 1       A Meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Yeates Schoolroom on Wednesday the 1st  Janry 1902. Present H. Bullock Esq (Chairman)  Messrs. W. C. Cowell, A. J. Clear, W. H. Stevens, J. Varney & J. White.
               
The Minutes of the last Meeting held September 4th 1901 were read and confirmed.

‘Nordens’ Stile                 A letter was read from Messrs. Conquest & Clare dated 2nd October 1901 stating that the Representatives of the late Mr. John Maydon had no objection to the Parish Council putting a Gate, but otherwise would accept no responsibility beyond ordinary repairs.
                The Clerk was requested to see Mr. L. O. Maydon again.

Charities              On the motion of Mr. W. H. Stevens seconded by Mr. A. J. Clear, Mr. Thomas Walker was unanimously re-elected Trustee of the Winslow Charities as one of the Parish Council representatives.

February 1902

[p.161]  1902 Feby 6        A Meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Yeates Schoolroom on Wednesday the 5th   February 1902. Present H. Bullock Esq (Chairman)  Messrs. A. J. Clear, W. R. Monk, J. Varney & J. White.
               
The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed.

“Nordens” Stile             On the proposal of Mr. White the Clerk was requested to write to Messrs. Conquest & Clare again as to the Stile at the Nordens.

Winslow Sewage             A letter from the Clerk to the Winslow Rural District Council giving notice to the Parish Council of their determination to adopts the Plans for the Sewerage and Sewage disposal of the Parish of Winslow as prepared by Mr. H. A. Johnson of Bradford was produced.

[p.162] 1902 Feb: 22        A Meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Yeates Schoolroom on Saturday the 22nd   February 1902. Present H. Bullock Esq (Chairman)  Messrs. W. R. Monk, J. Varney, T. Walker & J. White.
               
The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed.

“Nordens” Stile            The Clerk stated that he had written to Messrs. Conquest & Clare again as directed at the last Parish Council meeting, but he had received no reply to the letter.

Parish Constables            In accordance with a circular requesting the Parish Council to nominate Three persons fit and qualified for the office of Parish Constable, on the proposal of Mr. John Varney seconded by Mr. W. R. Monk the names of Mr. Josiah White Parish Councillor,  John Warner and William Viccars Junr Bricklayer were nominated.

April 1902

[p.163] 1902 April 16                       The Annual Meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Yeates Schoolroom on Wednesday the 16th April 1902. Present H. Bullock Esqre (Chairman)  Messrs. A. J. Clear, W. R. Monk, W. H. Stevens, J. Varney, J. White & T. Walker.

                The Minutes of the last Meeting were read & confirmed.

Overseers                  Mr. J. White proposed and Mr. J. Varney seconded that Mr. H. Underwood and Mr.  B. Sanderson be appointed Overseers.
                Mr. J. White proposed and Mr. W. R. Monk seconded that Mr. E. A Illing be appointed an Overseer.
                Mr. W. H. Stevens proposed and Mr. J. White seconded that Mr. Geo. Ash be appointed an Overseer.
On these four names being put to the meeting they were appointed to that office nem. con. Mr. Walker not voting.

Election to fill vacancy  Mr. Cowell having written to resign his Membership of the Parish Council on account of his leaving the neighbourhood, Mr. Stevens proposed Mr. J. W. Ingram seconded Mr. G. A. Monk for election in his place.
Mr. Clear proposed and Mr. White seconded Mr. R. J. Coxill.
                On their names being put to the meeting four voted for Mr. Monk and two for Mr. Coxill. The
[p.164] Chairman declared Mr. Monk elected.

Accounts             The Clerk presented the Accounts of the Parish Council as prepared for the Auditor.

Cheque                A cheque for £2-15-0 was drawn to the Clerk to pay the following accounts:- Audit Stamp £2, Rates 5s/6d, Insurance 4s/6d, use of school 5s/-. Total £2-15-0.

May 1902

1902 May 7         A Meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Yeates Schoolroom on Wednesday 7th May 1902. Present H. Bullock Esq (Chairman)  Messrs. A. J. Clear, J. W. Ingram, W. R. Monk, G. A. Monk, W. H. Stevens, J. Varney & J. White and Revd. J. G. Evans.

                The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed.

Coronation         A circular from the Local Government Board dated 19th April 1902 covering the General Order of 18 April 1902 sanctioning certain expenses if incurred in connection with the Coronation of H. M. the King was read and ordered to be on
[p.165]  the table.

Collector’s Salary             A letter from the Clerk to the Guardians asking the Council to give their opinion upon an application by Mr. T. D. Curtis for an increase of £5 in his salary as a Collector for the Parish was considered.
                Mr. W. Stevens proposed Mr. A. J. Clear seconded and it was carried nem. con. that the Parish Council reply that they approve the proposed increase.

August 1902

1902 Augt 6         A Meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Yeates Schoolroom on Wednesday 6th August 1902. Present H. Bullock Esq (Chairman)  Messrs. A. J. Clear, G. A. Monk & J. Varney.

                The minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed.

Technical Educn Committee        In accordance with the request from the Secretary of the County Council the Chairman proposed Mr. G. A. Monk seconded and it was
[p.166] carried unanimously that the Committee appointed on the 10th of July 1901 with the Revd. W. F. Armstrong continue the Local Technical Education Committee.

September 1902

1902 Sept 3         A Meeting of the Parish Council was held in the Yeates Schoolroom on Wednesday 3rd  September 1902. Present H. Bullock Esq (Chairman)  Messrs. A. J. Clear, J. W. Ingram, W. R. Monk, W. H. Stevens & J. Varney.        

The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed.

Technical Education       A Letter from the Secretary of the County Council Technical Education Committee was read.

Member              Mr. Clear proposed and Mr. Ingram seconded that Mr. W. Turnham Senr be a member of the Parish Council if willing to serve in the place of Revd. J. G. Evans. Carried unanimously.

Parish meeting (Lighting & Watching)

1902 Novr.  19                    A Parish Meeting called for the purposes of the Lighting and Watching Act 3 & 4 William IV & for taking into consideration the amount of money to be raised for the purposes of the said Act for the current year in this Parish was held in the Yeates Schoolroom on Wednesday November 19th 1902.                Present H. Bullock Esq. (Chairman) Messrs. A. J. Clear, T. D. Curtis, & Josh. White .
                               
The notice calling for the Meeting was read.

The minutes of the last Parish Meeting were read and confirmed.

Mr. Josiah White proposed and Mr. A. J. Clear seconded that a sum not exceeding £100 be raised for the purposes of the Lighting & Watching Act for the ensuing Year.
