[centre] The View of Frankpledge with the Court Baron of William Selby Lowndes Esquire of the said Manor there holden on Monday the twenty eighth day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty two and in the third year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Fourth by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King Defender of the Faith Before Robert Langley Appleyard Gentleman Steward there,

[centre] Also at this Court it is found and presented by the Homage aforesaid upon their Oath that Thomas Curtis late of Little Horwood in the County of Bucks Farmer late one of the Customary Tenants of this Manor who while he lived held to him and his Heirs of this Manor by Copy of Court Roll Fealty Suit of Court Rent Heriot and other Services All that Messuage Tenement or Farm House situate in Littler Horwood aforesaid heretofore in the Occupation of Thomas Curtis his Great Uncle afterwards of his Father John Curtis, late of the said Thomas Curtis deceased and now of John Curtis his Brother And also all that lot Plot Piece or Parcel of Land or Ground containing fifty eight Acres three roods and one perch lying and being in a certain Field heretofore called Middle Field in Little Horwood aforesaid late in the Occupation of the said Thomas Curtis and now of the said John Curtis (to which Premises the said Testator Thomas Curtis was admitted Tenant at a General Court Baron holden for this Manor on the twenty ninth day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety under the Will of the said Thomas Curtis his Great Uncle) died since the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor so seized thereof and by his last Will and Testament in Writing bearing date the twenty third day of January one thousand eight hundred and twenty two Gave and devised unto his Brother John Curtis All and every his Freehold and Copyhold Mesuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements Hereditaments Real Estate Premises whatsoever situate lying and being at Little Horwood aforesaid or elsewhere To hold the same unto and to the Use of the said John Curtis his Heirs and Assigns for ever subject nevertheless and charged and chargeable to and with the payment of several Legacies or Sums of Money to the several Persons and at the time and in the manner thereinafter mentioned Now to this Court comes the said John Curtis of Little Horwood aforesaid Yeoman the Brother and Devisee of the said Thomas Curtis deceased in his own proper person and desires of the Lord of this Manor to be admitted Tenant to the Premises aforesaid subject to and according to the Will of the said Thomas Curtis To whom the Lord of this Manor by the Hands of his said Steward grants Seizin by the Rod To have and to hold the Premises aforesaid with the Appurtenances unto the said John Curtis his Heirs and Assigns for ever (but subject nevertheless and chargeable as in the said Will of the said Thomas Curtis is mentioned) of the Lord by the Rod at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Manor by the Yearly Rents of Four Pence and one pound five shillings and six pence Fealty Suit of Court Heriot and other Services and Customs therefore due and of right accustomed And he gives to the Lord for a Fine for such his Estate so to be had in the Premises Eight pounds one Shilling, and he is thereof admitted Tenant &c: And his fealty is respited until &c.-
