Vestry, 9 April 1858

At a Vestry held in the Vestry Room in the Church on the 9th day April 1858

Present David Thomas Willis Chairman, George Cross, John Curtis, Daniel Grace, Charles Mayne, Henry Monk, William Neal, Samuel Burnham Dudley, Thomas Allen, John Elley, John Ingram, James Hawley and John Morgan.

The Accounts of the Churchwardens for the past year were examined and allowed.

Mr George Cross was by a note received from the Revd William W. McCreight appointed Churchwarden on his behalf for the year ensuing and was duly elected.

Mr Samuel Burnham Dudley proposed and Mr Charles Mayne seconded that Mr John Curtis be re-elected to fill the office of Churchwarden for the ensuing year.

The following amendment was then proposed by Mr William Neal and seconded by Mr Henry Monk that Mr James Hawley be appointed Churchwarden for the ensuing year.

The amendment having been put by the Chairman there were for the amendment five and five against it. The Chairman reserving his vote gave it for the original proposition which was thereupon duly carried and the said John Curtis declared to be duly elected.
