John Fell is a common shunner of daylight [lucifugus - layabout?]; amerced 3s 4d.
William Glenister 12d and Thomas Stevens 12d of Shipton encroached on the common.
Richard Glenister overburdened the common with seven sheep from 1 May last to 1 August; 12[d].
Richard Glenister kept a colt [equus pullus] against the ordinance of the court; forfeit 12d.
William Norman committed the same offence; forfeit 12d.
William Miller kept beasts by a private herdsman; for three offences 10s.
Dorothy Garner bound beans [legavit fabea] against the ordinance; penalty 3s for each offence. For four offences, forfeit 12s, reduced to 5s.

Thomas Hall cut and carried away a copse [Arbust' - perhaps they meant arbutum, a crab-apple tree] against the ordinance of the court and the penalty of 12d placed on it; forfeit 12d.
William Coole, Richard Bennell, William Fenner, William Pury and Thomas Gryme committed the same offence.
Thomas Grime overburdened the common with ten sheep; amerced 2d 6d.
Thomas Hale 12d & John Grace 12d placed a dunghill in the road there, a nuisance to the inhabitants; amerced.

Hallimott or Court Baron
Richard Grace surrendered 1 acre in Grandborow to John Pitkin.
He surrendered a messuage in the occupation of Edward Sturman and 5 acres 3 roods to himself for his life, then to Richard Grace his son and Katherine his wife.
Anthony Tomlyn died before this court seised of a cottage in Winslow in the occupation of Thomas Tomlin. Samuel Tomlin is his son and nearest heir. Rent 14d, fine 5s, heriot a cauldron [caldar'] worth 12d.
[new hand] William Burrowes surrendered a messuage in Winslow next to the Pownd. To the use of William Burrowes his son and Cicely Harding whom William the son intends to marry, and to the heirs of William's body, or for want of such issue to Thomas Burrowes, another son of William. Rent 10d, fine 5s, heriot by composition 10s.

Richard Glenister surrendered 1½ acres lying together over Hornebrach furlong in the fields of Winslow. To the use of Robert Shelton. Rent 4½d, fine 3s, no heriot.
He surrendered a selion containing a half-acre over Hornebrach abutting on Hollow Furrow. To the use of Lawrence Shelton.
Rent 1½d, fine 12d, no heriot.
Richard Mathy and Dorothy his wife surrendered a tenement in Winslow Southend late in the tenure of Ann Brickhill, now of Richard. To the use of Robert Jones. Rent 1d, fine 5s, heriot 2s 6d and no more because poor.
John Robinson and Elizabeth his wife surrendered 4 roods containing 1 rood [=acre] lying together over Woodway furlong in Shipton. To the use of William Glenister. Rent 3d, fine 2s, no heriot.
John Robinson and Thomas Robinson surrendered 4 roods containing 1½ acres lying together over Breach furlong in Winslow Milfeild. To the use of Samuel Rawlins. Rent 4½d, fine 3s, no heriot.
Dorothy Pym died since the last court, being seised of a messuage, orchard and curtilage in Winslow for the term of her life, the reversion to the heirs of the body of John Mason and herself. Agnes Shelton now wife of Lawrence Shelton is the daughter and heir of John and Dorothy, and sought admission. Rent 13½d, fine 5s, no heriot.
Henry Hale, being seised of a cottage in Winslow now in the tenure of Robert Hale expectant on Robert's decease, surrendered the reversion since the last court by Peter Fige gent. and Hugh Seaton. To the use of Edward Hale, who now sought admission. Rent 4d, fine 5s, no heriot. Afterwards Edward surrendered the reversion to the use of Robert Udden and Agnes his wife and the heirs of their bodies, and for want of such issue to Robert's heirs. Fine 5s, no heriot.
[f.3v] Margaret Holliman widow since the last court surrendered by Nicholas Brinsall and Thomas Tomlin a messuage in Winslow now in the tenure of Edward Kynaston, and 2 roods of land near the "backside" of the messuage containing a half-acre. To the use of William Chandler gent. who now sought admission. Rent 7½d, fine 5s, heriot by composition 10s.
William surrendered the messuage and 2 roods to the use of Edward Kinaston and Alice his wife, on condition that the surrender will be void if they pay William £20 at Michaelmas 1638, 1639, 1640, 1641, 1642, 1643 and 1644 at William's dwelling house in Buckingham.

Margaret Holliman widow, late wife of Francis Holliman esq., surrendered on 17 Jan 1636 a piece of land in the fields of Winslow containing 14 acres called Furzen Hill, and 1 acre over Little hill furlong. To the use of John Hogson and Katherine his wife and the heirs of their bodies, or to John's heirs. John and Katherine sought admission. Rent 3s 9d, fine 30s, no heriot.
William Chandler and Edward Kynaston & Alice his wife surrendered 4 acres of arable land lying together in Old Mill Feild over Low furlong next to the land of Richard Glenister east. To the use of Hugh Seaton jr, son of Hugh Seaton sr. Rent 13d [or 16d], fine 8s, no heriot.
Edward Kinaston and Alice his wife surrendered 1 acre of arable land in Demoram feild next to the land of John Paxton on the south. To the use of Hugh Seaton jr. Rent 3d, fine 2s, no heriot.
Hugh Seaton jr son of Hugh Seaton sr surrendered 2 acres of arable land lying together in the Old Milfeild over Low furlong [as above], and a half-acre of arable land in Demoram feild [as above]. To the use of Alice Seaton wife of Hugh sr for her life. Fine 5s, no heriot.
Richard Stevens and Elizabeth his wife surrendered 1 acre in Granborow to John Thorpe sr.
Walter Grant surrendered:
- a parcel[?] of land in Winslow called Grove leyes containing 6 acres
- 1 acre at Easemead[?] next to the land of John Shelton towards the east
- 1 acre at Hawkeslow, John Shelton south
- 1 acre at Ry furlong, William Lownes north
- 1 acre at Marre acre, John Paxton each side
- 2 acres at Bradford, William Lowndes east
To the use of Daniel Seare, on condition that the surrender will be void if Walter pays him £8 at Michaelmas 1638 and 1639 and £108 at Michaelmas 1640 at Daniel's dwelling-house in Winslow. Rent 3s, fine 24s.
Thomas Devorell remised and relaxed to Thomas Tomlyn and his heirs all claim to a messuage and 2 acres of land in Winslow which he lately held on the surrender of Thomas Tomlyn.
Thomas Tomlyn and Etheldreda his wife surrendered a messuage in Winslow now in the tenure of William Tomlyn and 10 acres of land in the fields of Winslow:
- 2 acres in Over Astmead
- 2 acres over Low furlong
- 3 acres at Longmead leyes
- 1 acre over Palmers leyes
- 1 acre over Hollow furlong
- 1 acre adjoining the same messuage
To the use of Walter Tomlyn, on condition that the surrender will be void if Thomas pays him £8 at Michaelmas 1638 and 1639 and £108 at Michaelmas 1640 at the dwelling-house of Peter Fige gent., Bailiff of the manor, in Winslow. Fine 20s, no heriot.
William Wyet surrendered and released to Walter Grant all claim to a parcel of land called the Grove, and all other lands lately his[?] on the surrender of Walter Grant.
Richard Miller and Agnes his wife and Elizabeth Miller widow surrendered a cottage in Winslow with liberty of ingress etc. through the "gate" called the "ould gate". To the use of Thomas Thornton alias Bull. Rent 4d, fine 5s, heriot 12d by composition and no more because poor.
Procedure of common recovery: Robert Hunter complained against Thomas Thornton on a plea of land; Thomas Thornton called to warrant Richard Miller, who called Michael Walker. All surrendered their interest to the use of Thomas Thornton alias Bull.
[f.4r] Isabella Cowdale widow surrendered a messuage in Granborow now in the tenure of William Cooke, and a half-virgate and 2 acres (after a procedure of common recovery) to Thomas Stevens and Sarah his wife.
On 6 March 1637 a Court Baron for the manor was held, and its roll was annexed to this roll.
