[p.24] Manor of Winslowe and its Members. Court Baron of Richard Lowndes esq. 12 April 7 George II 1734 by John Markham gent steward there

The Homage: Daniel Gyles, Robert Gibbs, William Goodman, William Stockley and Robert Stevens

Grace Aldridge of Winslowe surrendered two Mesuages scituate in the Markett Place of Winslowe now in the severall Occupations of Joseph Ray and Ann Wyatt widdow, their Undertenants or Assignes, together with all Barns, Stables, Outhouses, Yards, Backsides etc.
[p.25] To the use of John Turner, who requesteth to be admitted Tenant. Rent [blank], fine excused.
Procedure of common recovery: Joseph Ayres complains against John Turner in a Plea of Land in a Writt of entry upon Disseisin in the Post att the Common Law. John Turner calleth to warranty the said Grace. She calleth to warranty John Thompson.
[p.26] The Bailiffe of the Court Stephen Gibbs certified that he delivered seizin to Joseph.
Joseph, John Turner and Grace surrendered the Mesuages to the use of the said Grace, her heires and assignes forever. Rent [blank], fine 10s.
[Joseph Ray's house was jointly owned by Grace Aldridge and her sister Jane Langley until 1733. Presumably this procedure was to break any entail created by their father William Gyles or their brother of the same name.]
