The Official Guide

This pocket-sized guide, reproduced below at approximately the original size, has no date but seems to have been published in 1949 (thanks to Ed Grimsdale for his research on the date and author). It was compiled by Arthur Leonard Woolf, who produced many similar "official guides" for other towns. A 2nd edition was produced in 1952. In November 1927, Winslow Rural District Council also gave permission for an official guide, and it would be interesting to know if that was ever published.
