In the name of God Amen the fowr and twentieth day of Aprill anno d(mi)1665 and in the seventeenth yeare of the Reigne of o(ur) Soveraigne Lord King Charles the second over England Scot etc I Jeane Bigg of Winslow in the County of Bucks wid(ow) beinge aged sickley and weake of Bodye but of p(er)fect mind and memory praysed bee the lord therefore, knoweinge the certaintey of death and the uncerteyntey of the time and hower thereof doe therefore make ordayne and declare this my last will and testament in manner and forme followeinge  First I Comitt and Commend my soule into the hands of Almity God my Creator my Bodey I Comitt to the Earth from whence it came to bee decentley interred  And as touchinge and concerninge my worldley estate with which it hath pleased God to bless mee I doe hereby declare my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge  First I give and bequeath unto my Sonne Christopher Bigg one joyned Bedsteed standinge in the Chamber over the parlor, one flock bed, one red and yellow Coverlett, one Caldron and one coate and wascoate, and one hovill standinge in the yard adjoyneinge to William Hogsons to bee deliv(er)ed to the said Christo(pher) within two monthes next after my decease  Item I give and bequeath unto William Bigg one other of my sonns one joyned bedsteed with the curtaynes and valliants standinge in the chamber over the hall, one red rugg, one feather boulster, one table and frame and two joyned stooles to bee deliv(er)ed to him within two monthes next after my decease  Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Bigg one other of my sonns one borded bedsteed with the flock bed, straw bed boulsters, two flock pillowes one feather pillow, one table and frame two joyned stooles one Coffer, two little Kalinders[?] one pewter plate of ye midleinge sort, one pann, one payre of bellowes and the best stick of timber that now is in the yard, to bee deliv(er)ed to the said Thomas within two months next after my decease  Item I give and bequeath unto Nicholas Bigg one other of my sonns one hovill standinge att the shop doore to bee deliv(er)ed to him at my decease.  Item I give and bequeath unto Stephen Bigg one other of my sonns one table and frame[?] standinge in the hall three joyned stooles, two pewter platters the bigger kettle pott one pewter flaggon and one press that now stands in the parler and five pounds of current english money to bee paied and deliv(er)ed within six months next after my decease  Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Willis one feather bed one kettle pott and my best coate and wascoate to be deliver(er)ed at my decease.  Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Bigg one other of my daughters one joyned bedsteed whereon I now ley with the curtains one valliants one feather bed, two feather bolsters, two feather pillowes two blanketts my best coverlett, one table frame, three payres sheetes 6 pewter platters viz. Three of the biggest and three of the least, one basson one pewter candlesticke, one chamber pott, my biggest kettle one brass porridge pott, one warmeing pann, one fryinge pann, my best pare[?] of [....] one t[......] one little kettle pott one little side table my best hatt one flaxen sheete one flaxn table cloath one payre of handiirens with brass tops, one payre of bellowes and one great cubbard and cubard cloath, to be deliv(er)ed at my decease  Item I give and bequeath unto Jeane Willis Mary Willis and Mary Bigg my Grandchildren each of them one small pewter platter to be deliv(ere)d within two months next after my decease  All and singuler other my goods catell and Chattells, my debts and legacyes paied and funerall expences defrayed I wholey give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Willis and Mary Bigg whome I make joynt executrix(es) of this my last will and testament And I the said Jeane Bigg doe pronounce and declare this to bee my last will and testament.  In witness wheare of to this my last will & testament I the said Jeane Bigg have sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written.

Notes

Jane was the widow of Christopher Bigg (d. 1664; q.v. for their children) and her inventory is almost the same as his. She was buried (as Jane Bigges) on 11 May 1665.
