In the Name of God Amen I Philip Budd the Younger of Winslowe in the County of Bucks
Lace buyer being Indisposed in Body but of sound mind and memory doe make this my last Will
and Testament in manner following First I recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty
God my Creator hopeing for pardon of All my Sins through the merritts and Intercession of
Jesus Christ my Saviour My Body I Committ to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion
of my Execut [blank] herein after named  And as touching such Temporall Estate as it hath pleased
God to bestow upon Me I Give and dispose thereof as followeth Imprimis I Give and Bequeath
unto John Budd my Brother the Sum(m)e of Seven pounds ten shillings and Six pence to be paid
out of my Personall Estate Item I Give and bequeath All that One Acre of Land lyeing in Great
Hawkeslow the Land of Mary Townsend an Infant lyeing on the South part and the Land of Robert
Lowndes Esq(uire) on the North part thereof To the use and behoofe of Phillip Budd my Father and
Elizabeth my Mother for the Terme of their Naturall Lives and after their Severall deceases To
the Use of John Budd my Brother and his Heirs for ever Item I Give and Bequeath unto Francis
Budd my Brother the Sum(m)e of fifteen pounds to be paid out of my Personall Estate Item I Give
and bequeath All that One Acre of Land lyeing together in Old Mill Field in West Cotmore
Furlong to the Use and behoofe of the said Phillip Budd my Father and Elizabeth my Mother for the
Terme of their Naturall Lives \and the life of the Longer Liver of them/ and after their Severall deceases To the Use of Francis Budd my
Brother and his Heirs for ever  Item I Give and bequeath unto James Budd my Brother the Sum(m)e of
Fifteen pounds to be paid out of my Personall Estate  Item I Give and bequeath All that One Acre of
Arable Land lying together in Long Mead Leys Furlong To the Use and Behoofe of the said Phillip
Budd my Father and Elizabeth my Mother for the Terme of their Naturall Lives and  the Life
of the Longer Liver of them and after their Severall deceases To the Use of \the said/ James Budd and his
Heirs for ever  Item I Give and bequeath unto Andrew Budd my Brother the Sum(m)e of Fifteen
pounds to be paid to him soe soon as he shall Attaine the Age of One and Twenty Years out of
my Personall Estate  Item I Give and bequeath All that \my/ land lyeing in Breach Furlong And All
that my Land lyeing in Orrell hill Furlong To the Use and Behoofe of the said Phillip Budd my
Father and Elizabeth my Mother for the Terme of their Naturall Lives and the Life of the
Longer Liver of them and after their Severall deceases To the Use of Andrew Budd my Brother and
his Heirs for ever  Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Budd my Brother the Sum(m)e of
Fifteen pounds to be paid to him soe soon as he shall Attaine the age of One and Twenty Years
out of my Personall Estate  Item I Give and bequeath All that One Acre of Land Sweard Ground
and the Hedge there lyeing in Great Hawkeslow aforesaid the Parsonage planck way lyeing on the

Behoofe of the said Phillip Budd my Father and Elizabeth my Mother for the Terme of their Naturall
Lives and the Life of the longer Liver of them and after their Severall deceases To the Use of Thomas
Budd my Brother and his Heirs for ever  Item I Give and bequeath unto my Cousin  Elizabeth Budd
the daughter of Andrew Budd deceased the Sum(m)e of Five pounds to be paid to her soe soon as she shall
Attaine the age of One and Twenty Years if she shall soe long live  Item All the rest and residue of
my Estate of what kind soever or wheresoever I Give and bequeath unto the said Phillip Budd
my Father whome I make full and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby
revoking and making Void All former and other Wills by me heretofore made and doe declare
this only to be my Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have to this my Will contained
in Two sheets of paper to the first sheet sett my hand and the last my hand and Seale this
Thirteenth day of October in the Second Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George by
the Grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith &c And in the
year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifteen

Notes

Philip Budd was baptised at Winslow on 11 Nov 1689 and buried on 8 April 1716. He was the second of the six brothers: John, bap. 1687, was the eldest and Thomas, bap. 1700, the youngest. John (d.1719) and Andrew followed the trade of their father Philip (d.1718) as butchers.

James (d.1764) followed Philip the younger as a lacebuyer.
