In the Name of God Amen I Joseph Cox of Little Horwood in the County of Bucks Baker being weake in body but of perfect mind & memory praised be Allmighty God therefore and calling to mind the Certainty of Death and the uncertaine time thereof Doe this Fourth day of August Anno Domini One Thousand Seaven hundred and Eight make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following, (that is to say) First and principally I commend my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God my Maker hoping through the Merits Death and passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour to be made partaker of everlasting Life And my Body I committ to the Earth to be decently buryed att the Discretion of my Executrix herein after named. And as for such Temporall Estate as it hath pleased Allmighty God to bestowe upon me I give and dispose thereof as followeth. Imprimis I give will devise and bequeath unto Jane Cox my loving Wife All and every my freehold Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatso(ev)er and wheresoever wherein I have any Estate in possession Reversion or Remainder to hold to her and her heires forever  Item I give will devise and bequeath unto the said Jane Cox my loveing Wife All and every my Coppyhold and customary Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditam(en)ts whatsoever and Holden of the Mannour of Winslowe cum Membris in the said County of Bucks wherein I have any Estate in possession Reversion or Remainder with the Appurtenances belonging to the same And Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders thereof. And alsoe all my Estate Right Title Interest Claime & Demand whatsoever of in and to the same or any parte thereof to hold to her and her heires forever Item I give . . . unto . . . Jane Cox my loving Wife All and every my Coppyhold and customary Messuages Lands Tenements  . . . in the Mannour of Great Horwood in the said County of Bucks wherein I have any Estate in possession . . . And alsoe all my Estate Right Title Interest Claime . . . in the same . . . to hold to her and her heires forever. Item I give . . . unto the said Jane Cox my loveing Wife All and every my Goods Chattells and personall Estate whatsoever and wheresoever paying my Debts & discharging my funerall expences. And I hereby make and ordaine the said Jane Cox . . . full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament And lastly I do hereby revoke and make void all former Wills by Me heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the Day and yeare first above written Joseph Cox [signature] Signed sealed published and declared in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our Names as Witnesses in the presence of the Testator Thomas Cox [signature] The Marke of Joseph Wesson Peter Goldsworth [signature]
