In the name of God Amen the foureteenth day of Aprill in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred eighty and nine I John Darnell of Winslow in the County of Buck Carpenter being weake in body but of sound and p(e)rfect mind & memory praised be god doe make and ordaine this my last will & testament in maner & forme following (that is to say) First I com(m)end my soule into the hands of Almighty God hopeing through the merritts of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have forgivenesse of all my sins and to inherritt everlasting Live and my body I com(m)itt to the earth to be decently buried at the discrec(i)on of my Executrix herein hereafter named And as touching the disposic(i)on of my temporall estate I give and dispose thereof as followeth Impri(mi)s I give and bequeath unto my Mother Joane Darnell her Executors or assignes twenty shillings yearly dureing the terme of five years to be paid by my Executrix herein hereafter named Item all the rest and residue of my p(er)sonall estate goods and chattells whatsoever I doo give and bequeath unto my Loveing wife Mary Darnell whome I doo hereby make constitute and ordaine full and sole Executrix of this my last will and testament In witnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and year first above written

Notes
John Darnell was buried on 19 June 1689. His widow Mary married William Shelton on 19 Feb 1695.
Blotches and damage to the edge have removed some of the figures in the inventory. The inventory seems to have been written by Christopher Stutsbery.
