[translation from Latin] In the name of God amen. In the year of the Lord 1513 on 2 September I Richard Davy, being sound of mind and of healthy memory, make my will in this way. First I bequeath my soul to almighty God and Saint Mary his mother and all the saints, and my body to be buried in the churchyard of St Laurence of Wynslow. Item I bequeath to the tomb of St Alban iiij d. Item I bequeath to the high altar 2 bushels of barley. Item I bequeath to each altar of the same church one bushel of barley. Item I bequeath to the light of the Holy Cross one bushel of barley. Item I bequeath to the bells one bushel of barley. Item I bequeath to the torches 1 bushel of barley. The residue indeed of my goods not bequeathed I give and bequeath to Margaret my wife, whom I appoint my executrix, and Richard Welowys & Thomas Mylnar supervisors, so that they may dispose for the salvation of my soul.
