Dorothy Pitkin was buried on 7 Nov 1689. Ann Pitkin married Robert Granger at Winslow on 15 Oct 1682, and they had some children, but otherwise Dorothy's relatives mentioned in the will do not occur in the parish registers.
Dorothy kept an alehouse (in Sheep Street according to the 1687 court roll) which regularly got her into trouble at the Bucks Quarter Sessions:
- Michaelmas 1678: indicted for keeping a disorderly alehouse; then "suppressed" for three years from keeping an alehouse, upon conviction for "suffering divers Lewd, Dangerous and Suspicious persons for severall Dayes together to drink and tipple in her House."
- Christmas 1680: presented for keeping an unlicensed alehouse.
- Michaelmas 1681: given 10 days to "draw off her stocks".
