Notes
John Seaton was buried at Winslow on 23 Aug 1693. He was bap. 21 April 1639, son of Hugh and Katherine Seaton. Hugh gave John part of his property at the May 1671 court, probably when John got married. There were several John Seatons in Winslow at the same time. The children mentioned in the will are:
- Mary: bap. 18 March 1671/2 ; m. George Blake, who is variously described as tallow chandler of Winslow and grazier of Thornton; they had these children who are mentioned in Robert Seaton's will (see below):
- George Blake: bap. 1692 at Winslow; not mentioned in his uncle's will presumably because he was his father's heir
- John Blake: bap. 1695 at Winslow
- Mary Blake: bap. 1698 at Winslow; married Thomas Glenister in 1722 at Penn; their daughters Mary and Elizabeth baptised 1722 at Thornton (apparently before the marriage)
- Joan / Jane Blake: bap. 1703 at Winslow
- Thomas Blake: bap. 1705 at Thornton
- Ann Blake: bap 1708 at Thornton
- John: bap. 13 May 1675; the John Seaton, carrier, who died in 1723
- Hugh: baptism not recorded; 7 children mentioned in his brother Robert's will
- Robert: bap. 5 Oct 1686: the Robert Seaton of Peterborough, brazier (will proved 1743) who, with his wife Elizabeth, later acquired his father's house in Horn Street
