Notes
Mary Shelton was buried on 4 Jan 1690/1. She previously surrendered her messuage to her son William after her death. She was probably the widow of Robert Shelton, cooper, d.1671, and was baptised as Mary Glenister in 1636. Or possibly she was the widow of Richard Shelton, d.1672. None of the William Sheltons baptised at Winslow in the relevant period seems to have had a mother called Mary.
