The last will and testement of John Stevens  First I bequeth \my/ bodie to the Church yard and my soulle into the handes of the allmitie god trusting through Christ there by to be saved   I give to my elldes sonne Robert Stevens fortie shillings & to my dafter Marye tenn powndes & to my sonne John five poundes tobe payd at ther twentie on years of age  I give all my detes owing to me to my brother Benedict Holon in lue of detes o(w)ing to him  I give my wife five poundes after my fathers deth  I intrete my father to fullfill this my will & discharge my funarall & to be my exce exsetriy executor

Notes

John Stevens was buried at Granborough on 4 Feb 1633/4. Robert Hitchcock was vicar of Aston Abbots.

John made a deathbed surrender of 10 acres of land in Shipton to his son John.
