THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me GEORGE STEVENS (Carpenter) now of High Street Winslow in the County of Buckingham (Widower)
Executors
I appoint FREDERICK LOMAS Postman and WILLIAM VICCARS Bricklayer both of Winslow in the County of Bucks (hereinafter referred to as my said Trustees) to be Executors and Trustees of this my Will.
And I hereby direct that my said Trustees shall sell call in and convert into money all my belongings (not consisting of money) and shall out of the sum so produced pay all my Funeral and Testamentary expenses and debts and shall divide the residue equally between my three Children viz Annie Reynolds now of 9 Woodford Street Northampton Harry Stevens now of 88 Wallace Street Wolverton and Elsie May Adkins now of High Street Winslow Bucks
IN WITNESS whereof I the said George Stevens the Testator hereunto set my hand this Eighteenth day of November One thousand nine hundred and twenty.

BE IT KNOWN that George Stevens of High Street Winslow in the County of Buckingham died on the 10th day of July 1928 at 9 Woodford Street Northampton in the County of Northampton AND BE IT FURTHER KNOWN that at the date hereunder written the last will and Testament of the said deceased was proved and registered in the District Probate Registry of His Majesty’s High Court of Justice at Oxford and that administration of all the estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to Frederick Lomas of Station Road Winslow aforesaid retired Postman and William Viccars of Park Road Winslow aforesaid Bricklayer the Executors named in the said Will.

Notes
George Stevens was aged 72 when he died at his daughter's house in Northampton in 1928. He was originally from Great Horwood, and had moved to Winslow by 1881 when he was living in Back Lane (2-4 Vicarage Road) with his wife Ellen (nee Yeates) and daughter Annie. By 1891 they were living in the house which is now 158 High Street. Later they moved to no.122. Ellen died in 1914. In 1921 George's employers were Matthews & Son.
Elsie Stevens married Thomas Adkins in 1914. They were the parents of Thomas George Adkins b.1916 and Herbert Leslie Adkins b.1921.
