In the name of God Amen: I Heaster Tomblin of Winslow in the County of Bucks Widdow: being weake in body: but of perfect minde and memory thanks bee given unto Almighty God for the same: therefore calling unto minde the mortality of my body: and knoweing that it is apoynted for all men once to dye: doe make and ordaine this my last will and testamentt in manner and forme followeing: that is to say first and principally: I give and bequeath my soule into the hands of God Allmighty who gave it mee: and as for my body I commend it to the earth to bee buryed in such a decentt manner as my executor heerafter mentioned shall thinke fitt: nothing doubting but at the generall Resurrection I shall receive the same againe by the mighty power of God: and as for such worldly goods as it hath pleased God to bestowe upon mee in this life: I give. devise. bequeath. and dispose. of the same in manner and forme followeing: first I doe give and bequeath unto my sonne Thomas Tomlin the summ of five pound: of good and lawfull English money to bee payd to him with in the space of one whole yeare after my departure out of this life, and as for all the rest of my goods and household stuffe: I doe give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary: whom I doe constitute and appoynt to bee my full and whole Executor and doe heerby utterly disalow: revoke: an make voyd: all and every other former wills or testamentts: legacie: bequests or executors by mee in any wise before this time named willed: or bequeathed ratifieing and confirmeing this and none other to bee my last will and testamentt: In wittnesse whereof I have heerunto enterchaingably sett my hand and seale the one and thirty day of August in the first yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord James the Second: by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland: being defender of the faith: & in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred eighty and five 1685

Hester Tomlyn was buried on 7 Jan 1685/6. She was the widow of Edward Tomlyn, q.v. for details of the family. They lived in part of what is now 8-10 Horn Street.
