Notes
Thomas Wainright (his name was nearly always written with only one w) was buried, apparently at Keach's Meeting House, on 20 May 1714, followed by his widow Mary on 11 July. Thomas and Mary got married at Whipsnade, Beds, on 29 July 1690. Mary's mother Mary Baldwin (d.1703) was also a Baptist. Thomas served as overseer of the poor in 1699/1700, and witnessed many wills, not only of Baptists. He first appears in Winslow records in 1696, and could be the son of Robert and Sarah Wayneright who was baptised at Luton in 1657. His daughter Deborah married Henry Stutsbury at Winslow on 30 June 1712; their daughter but not their son seems to have had an Anglican baptism.
