This is the last Will of me Eliza Egleton wife of George Egleton Grocer of Winslow in the County of Buckingham I direct the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses And I appoint my Daughters Elizabeth Gowin Wife of David Edward Gowin and Rosa Benbow Wife of Ralph Benbow Executrixes of this my Will I give devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever situate and to which I shall be entitled at my decease Unto my said Daughters Elizabeth Gowin and Rosa Benbow in equal shares absolutely but in the event of my said Daughter Rosa Benbow dying in my lifetime then I give and devise the share to which she would have been entitled if living at my decease unto my said Daughter Elizabeth Gowin absolutely And in the event of my said Daughter Elizabeth Gowin dying in my lifetime then I give and devise the share to which she would have been entitled if living at my decease unto my grandchildren Emily May Gowin and Rosa Ethel Gowin in equal shares absolutely I revoke all other Wills by me at anytime heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will

On the Second day of October 1903, Probate of this Will was granted at Oxford to Elizabeth Gowin (Wife of David Edward Gowin) and Rosa Benbow (Wife of Ralph Benbow) the Daughters, the Executrixes.
It is hereby certified that the above is a correct Copy

BE IT KNOWN that Eliza Egleton (Wife of George Egleton) of Winslow in the County of Buckingham who at the time of her death had a fixed place of abode at Winslow aforesaid, within the district of the Counties of Oxford, Berks and Buckingham, died on the 16th day of July 1899 at Winslow aforesaid.
AND BE IT FURTHER KNOWN that at the date hereunder written the last will and Testament of the said deceased was proved and registered in the District Probate Registry of Her Majesty’s High Court of Justice at Oxford, and that administration of all the estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to Elizabeth Gowin (Wife of David Edward Gowin, Shopkeeper) of 451 Harrow Road, London and Rosa Benbow (Wife of Ralph Benbow, Carpenter) of Myrtle Cottage, High Street, Winslow aforesaid the daughters of the Deceased, the Executrixes named in the said Will.

Eliza, aged 74 when she died, was the wife of George Egleton, grocer, who died in 1922. See his will, with more details about the family. She was the daughter of Thomas Goodger (brewer), d.1868.
