Will of Anne Webb, widow, 1810 (proved 1811)

This is the last Will and Testament of me Anne Webb late of Pauls Cray in the County of Kent & now Winslow in the County of Bucks Widow first I give and bequeath unto my brother Matthew Collier the Legacy or Sum of twenty pounds which I direct To be paid to him in such parts shares & proportions and at such time or times as Richard Barton the elder my Ex’or hereinafter named shall think fit and proper Also I give and bequeath unto the said Matthew Collier all the wearing apparel and ornaments of the person of my late husband William Webb deceased except one Coat hereinafter by me given & bequeathed unto my brother William Collier which I direct to be delivered to him the said Matthew Collier as soon as conveniently may be after my decease Also I give & bequeath unto Elizabeth Collier Charlotte Collier and William Collier the daughters & Son of the said Matthew Collier & to Sarah Barton the daughter of Richard Barton the younger the Legacy or Sum of ten pounds apiece all which said last mentioned legacies I direct to be paid to the several Legatees when & as they shall respectively attain the age of twenty one years & in the meantime & until the said \several/ legacies shall become due & payable I direct that lawful Interest shall be paid for the same to the said respective Legatees whose receipts for the said Interest money notwithstanding their minorities I direct shall be good discharges to my Ex’or hereinafter named or the person or persons from time to time paying the same Also I give and bequeath unto my said Brother William Collier one Coat lately belonging to the said William Webb the deceased which I direct to be delivered to him as soon as conveniently may be after my decease Also I give and bequeath unto the said William Collier the Son of the said Matthew Collier my Silver Cased Watch which I direct to be delivered to him when & so soon as my said Ex’or shall consider him capable of taking care thereof Also I give & bequeath unto Elizabeth Grainge the daughter of Joseph Grainge my best Goron Tea Chest & six silver tea spoons which I direct to be delivered to her as soon as conveniently may be after my decease Also I give & bequeath unto all and every of the children of the said Matthew Collier & Richard Barton the younger the rest and residue of my wearing apparel & Ornaments of my person of every nature sort or kind soever & do direct the same to be equally divided between them by Ann the Wife of the said Richard Barton the younger at such time or times as she shall think fit & proper And as to my interest & share of & in two hundred pounds Stock in the South Sea Annuities with such Dividends as shall be due thereon at the time of my decease & all the rest & residue of my personal Estate & Effects whatsoever & wheresoever not hereinbefore otherwise disposed of I give and bequeath the same & every part thereof unto my esteemed friend the said Richard Barton the elder subject nevertheless to the payment of all such debts as I shall justly owe at the time one [sic] of my decease my funeral & Testamentary Expences & the several & respective Legacies or Sums of money by me hereinbefore given & bequeathed And I do hereby nominate & appoint the said Richard Barton the older sole Ex’or of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking & making void all former & other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Anne Webbe the Testratrix have hereunto set my hand & seal this ninth day of February in the Year of our Lord Christ one thousand eight hundred & ten                                                  Ann Webb

On 1st. February 1811 Admon with the Will annexed of the Goods of Anne Webb formerly of Pauls Cray in the County of Kent but late of Winslow in the County of Bucks Widow deceased  Was granted to Richard Barton the Son & Admor of Richard Barton the Elder deced whilst living the sole Ex’or & Residuary Legatee named in the said Will having been first sworn duly to administer the said Richard Barton the Elder dying without taking upon him the probate & Execution of the said Will

Anne Webb's connection to Winslow and the Barton family of The George isn't known. Her Collier relatives don't seem to have lived in Winslow
