
Schedule of lands and tenements, 1610
This document was drawn up as part of the dispute between the tenants and the Fortescues, 1603-13. It lists all the copyhold tenants in Winslow and Shipton (also Granborough and Little Horwood, not transcribed here). The 3rd column shows the "composition" which each tenant paid towards the agreement with Sir Francis Fortescue.

Scedule indented of \the/ landes and Tenem(en)ts w(hi)ch the severall Copiholders of
the Mannor of Wynslowe w(i)th the members thereof by the pr(e)sentm(en)t of the homage made in the
yere of our lord god One Thousand six hundred and Tenn doe hold by Copie of Courte Roll at
the will of the Lord accordinge to the Custome of the said Mannor And the Rate of the somes of
money w(hi)ch the said Tenants are severally to paie for Composic(i)on w(i)th Sir Francis Fortescue
knight Lord off the said Mannor. And the Rates of the somes of money w(hi)ch the same Tenants
are severally to paie from tyme to tyme hereafter for the landes and Tenem(en)ts hereafter
specified in the scedule But if any of the said Tenants doe hold any other landes or Tenem(en)ts
by Copie of Courte Roll (as Customary lands) then are hereafter in this scedule specified
and expressed Then they are severally to paie for Composic(i)on for those landes and Tenem(en)ts
after the rate of sixe shillinges eight pence for every acre and Tenn shillinges for everye
